Pioneer Waterproofing honored for Port of Portland work

Pioneer Waterproofing was recently recognized by the International Concrete Repair Institute for its work on the Port of Portland’s Terminal 5 structural repair and corrosion project. Pioneer repaired more than 7,000 square feet of damaged concrete at the 159-acre terminal site over eight months, and the pier remained in service at all times.

鈥淏eing recognized by your peers is always a nice honor, but it’s especially significant when you consider this program received submittals from around the world,鈥� said Pioneer Waterproofing President Mike Crawford.聽鈥淭he Port’s work is critical to our region’s export economy so we were pleased to be able to successfully work around their ongoing operations for over 8 months.鈥�

ICRI presents awards annually to recognize projects in the concrete repair and restoration industry. Pioneer Waterproofing received an ICRI award for its work on the John Day Navigational Lock in 2005.
