The former home of the only residential remodeling industry trade association in Oregon is now ready for a new tenant.

The building, at 8101 S.E. Flavel St. in Portland, was the home of the Oregon Remodelers Association until a year ago. The association has hired out its management to an outside firm, so it no longer needs the office space. The 2,000 square feet of occupiable space in the building is for sale at an asking price of $260,000.

The Oregon Remodelers Association was founded in 1952. It has about 300 members whom it helps succeed financially. It also works to improve the image of the remodeling industry and to provide education and networking.

鈥淲e鈥檙e dealing with the economy the way it is, but we鈥檙e still humming along,鈥� said Jim Kitchin, vice president of the association.

The new Oregon Remodelers Association office is run by the firm Update Management and is located at 147 S.E. 102nd Ave.

The former office building was built in 1992 and is an owner-user opportunity. The building could be divided into more than one space.

鈥淚t鈥檚 a great little office building,鈥� Kitchin said.
