The Community Development Law Center recently tapped attorney Helen Eastwood to head a new office that the nonprofit plans to open in Bend.

Eastwood, a Bend native, has worked for Karnopp Petersen, where she provided legal services to the Confederated Tribes of the Warm Springs Reservation; and for Bryant, Lovlien and Jarvis as a land-use attorney. She is a member of the board of directors for the Swalley Irrigation District and a volunteer with the Start Making a Reader Today program.

The new CDLC office is being funded with a grant from the Murdock Charitable Trust.
