Mel Jones, diversity manager of Skanska鈥檚 northwest operations, was one of 33 business professionals recognized as 鈥淎merica鈥檚 Top Diversity Champions for 2012鈥� by DiversityBusiness.com, a multicultural business website.

Jones has more than 17 years of experience in land use and civil design, including ownership of Rucker LDC, a land development consulting firm. He was hired by Skanska in 2010 to help the company increase diversity in areas such as gender, ethnicity and educational background. He applies the company鈥檚 Boost and Mentor-Prot茅g茅 programs at a local level.
