Román D. Hernández, a shareholder in Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt’s Portland office, has been named the recipient of the 2012 Distinguished Citizen Award presented by the Cascade Pacific Council of the Boy Scouts of America.
Hernández received his law degree from Northwest School of Law at Lewis & Clark College, and focuses his practiced on employment law, labor law and business litigation.
He is a past president of the Hispanic National Bar Association and currently serves as chairman of the board of directors of the HNBA Legal Education Fund. He also is a member of the board of directors of Oregon Health & Science University. He has been recognized by Latino Leaders Magazine and Hispanic business magazine, and in January 2010 received the Hispanic Metropolitan Chamber Outstanding Member Award.
The Boy Scouts’ Distinguished Citizen Award is presented to individuals who have demonstrated outstanding professional and personal integrity. Hernández will receive the award in April.
