The Portland City Council has confirmed the reappointment of board members John Mohlis and Charles Wilhoite. It will be the third term for both members.
Mohlis first joined the PDC鈥檚 Board of Commissioners in January 2007 and is the executive secretary of the Oregon State Building and Construction Trades Council, an umbrella organization for approximately 30,000 union construction workers in Oregon, according to a press release from the PDC. Mohlis has been involved in the PDC鈥檚 minority contracting and apprenticeship work.
Wilhoite began on the commission in August 2006 and is a managing director of the financial consulting firm, Willamette Management Associates. According to the press release, Wilhoite spearheaded work on the North/Northeast Economic Development Initiative.
鈥淐ommissioners Mohlis and Wilhoite have each served the city admirably in their terms on the PDC board,鈥 Mayor Sam Adams said in the release. 鈥淭heir leadership, knowledge and civic commitment are assets to the community, and I am delighted that they are willing to continue their service to the city.鈥
The new terms will run from July 1, 2012 to June 30, 2015.
