Miller Nash has added six summer clerks in its Portland and Prineville offices.

David Bechtold recently completed his second year at Stanford Law School. During the summer after his first year of law school, he volunteered with Advocates for the West, a nonprofit environmental law group based in Boise, on a grant from Stanford Law School. He most recently served as lead article editor of the Stanford Environmental Law Journal, and will step into the role of editor-in-chief of the publication this fall.

Bonnie Calhoun recently completed her second year at the University of Michigan Law School, where she volunteers with the Human Trafficking Law Project and is an editor on the Michigan Journal of Race & Law. During the summer following her first year of law school, Calhoun interned at Feldman Orlansky & Sanders, a litigation firm in Anchorage, Alaska. During her second year of law school, she spent a semester in Geneva, Switzerland, as an intern in the International Migration Law Unit of the International Organization for Migration.

Kenny Hong recently completed his second year at the University of Washington School of Law, where he serves as president of the Minority Law Students Association. Before attending law school, Hong interned at the Washington State Attorney General’s Office, where he researched legislative histories for divisional attorneys. During the summer following his first year of law school, he clerked for Miller Nash’s Portland office.

Zack Stern recently completed his second year at Willamette University College of Law, where he is a member of the Moot Court Board and a senior writer for the Willamette Online Supreme Court Journal. During the summer after his first year of law school, he clerked for the Hon. Timothy J. Sercombe at the Oregon Court of Appeals, where he helped to draft the judicial opinions on civil, administrative, and criminal matters.

Andrea Tang is seeking dual graduate degrees in law and business from Willamette University, having just completed her first year at the school’s College of Law, where she is a member of the Moot Court Board. She currently serves as the JD/MBA liaison and vice president of the Joint Degree Association. She is a participant in Miller Nash’s Law Student Diversity Fellowship Program.

Shannon McCabe joins Miller Nash after completing her first year at the University of Oregon School of Law, where she is an active member of the Moot Court Board. Following her undergraduate studies, McCabe worked as a real estate broker and enjoyed participating in her local Toastmasters Club, as well as volunteering at St. Vincent de Paul Food Bank.
