Roman D. Hernandez, a shareholder in the Portland office of Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt, is this year鈥檚 recipient of the J. Michael Brown Award presented by the DuPont Minority Counsel Network. The award, which recognizes outstanding efforts to increase and promote diversity in the legal profession, was presented to Hernandez during DuPont鈥檚 annual Minority Counsel Conference held in Washington, D.C. last month.

Also, Jeff Bird recently earned a Certified Exit Planning Advisor credential from the Exit Planning Institute. He is a shareholder in the Portland office of Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt, and is a core group member of the firm鈥檚 business transitions group. He has more than 25 years of law experience in complex business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings, tender offers, securities law and venture capital transactions.
