Rom谩n Hern谩ndez, a shareholder in the Portland office of regional law firm Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt, received the Ohtli award from the Mexican government during the Hispanic National Bar Association鈥檚 national convention in Seattle. The Ohtli award is the official recognition of Mexico鈥檚 Instituto de los Mexicanos en el Exterior (translated as 鈥淧rogram for Mexican Communities Abroad鈥), and is the highest award bestowed by the Mexican government to a non-Mexican citizen. It is awarded to individuals who have contributed to the empowerment of Mexican and Mexican-American communities in the U.S. Hern谩ndez focuses his practice in the areas of employment law, labor law and business litigation.
