is converting a previously vacant ground-floor space at Southwest 12th Avenue and Washington Street into Cheryl’??s on 12th, a European-style marketplace and cafe, for owners Cheryl and Ed Casey. In addition to the 2,900-square-foot retail space, the project includes a recently-completed 3,000-square-foot kitchen for the Casey’s catering business, , which is located in a basement space below Cheryl’s on 12th. Project partners include California-based and Portland-based . Work is slated to be completed by the first week of October.
