The Oregon-Columbia chapter of American General Contractors has created a new position to grow membership within the chapter.
The position, titled business development specialist, will be held by Jim Grammer, who has worked in business-to-business sales since moving to Oregon in 2008.
His job will be to help the chapter reach its goal of having 1,500 members by 2016.
鈥淏y improving our numbers, we will be able to expand what we do for and offer to our members. 聽I鈥檓 here to help that happen,鈥 he said.
Now more than ever, the AGC serves an important role within the contracting community, he said; he hopes he can expand its presence.
鈥淐ontractors are having a difficult time in this economy,鈥 he said. 鈥淲hen they realize how we can help their businesses run more efficiently, and how we are able to (sometimes dramatically) improve their bottom line, joining AGC is the natural result.鈥
Grammer will start the position immediately.
