Another large hotel could be coming to Northwest Portland.

This month, a land use intake was submitted for an eight-story hotel with up to 220 rooms on 835 N.W. Everett St. The proposal was submitted by Raymond Management Company, a Wisconsin-based developer that has helped build hotel chains across the country.

Officials from the company refused to comment on the project until later in the design stage.

The project is the second hotel recently proposed for Northwest Portland. Earlier this year, a 170,000-square-foot Marriott Hotel was proposed for the Pearl District. It was approved by the Design Commission, and construction is expected to start on it January 2013.
