OAK LODGE RECLAMATION FACILITY IMPROVEMENTS 鈥揗ILWAUKIE

Pacificmark Construction overcame many challenges in making facility improvements at the Oak Lodge Reclamation Facility, mainly working at a wastewater facility, which had to provide 鈥渦ninterruptible鈥 services to the community.
Planning was essential to the project, which finished on budget and with few change orders affecting the bottom line.
Mortenson Construction was general contractor for the project, and project manager Mike Clifford praised Pacificmark鈥檚 efforts.
鈥淭hey demonstrated a proactive approach to safety, quality and coordination, and routinely set the bar for other contractors working at the project site,鈥 Clifford said.
The remodel involved the installation of a new window system, additional structural support, mechanical and electrical upgrades, structural wood framing, insulation, drywall, doors and hardware, paint, floor coverings, and siding.聽 An old deck for employee use was demolished, and a new one was built using recycled materials.
The project also features the installation of commercial storefront windows on the second floor of the Headworks Building. That job involved nonstructural metal framing, insulation, gypsum, paint and a vapor barrier product.
While Pacificmark has done tenant improvement projects in the past, this was the company鈥檚 first one for a wastewater treatment facility. The learning curve was smoothed by the help that the firm said it received from Mortenson.
The admiration goes both ways, Clifford said.
鈥淧acificmark was a partner in every way. They demonstrated a proactive approach to safety, quality and coordination,鈥 he said. 鈥淭heir safety was world class.鈥
鈥淎ll the time they made it easy to do work with them, demonstrating humility and honesty in every interaction. We look forward to continuing our partnership for years to come.鈥
