ARCHITECTURE
Erica Dunn, an associate with Hennebery Eddy Architects, recently received a 2012 Van Evera Bailey Fellowship. The program was created to advance the professional development of mid-career architects. Dunn will focus her study on the human side of energy-efficient sustainable buildings.

DESIGN
Bainbridge, a design, planning and project management firm, recently added designers Eliza Halter and Erica Ogle to its staff.

Halter previously spent several years working as a software engineer. She performed in-store and on-site work for U.S. Bank throughout the country. She is presently working on projects for Umpqua Bank, the German American Society and Oregon State University.

Ogle鈥檚 background includes freelance projects and an internship at a local architecture firm. She is presently working on projects for Terwilliger Plaza, Providence Health and Services, and MultiCare Health Systems.

FINANCE
Devin Jackson recently was promoted to vice president of Regents Bank鈥檚 office in Vancouver, Wash. He has been with Regents Bank for seven years as assistant vice president, commercial banking officer and credit analyst. Jackson is a recent graduate of Leadership Clark County. He specializes in commercial banking for small and midsize businesses in Southwest Washington.

Ball Janik LLP recently added Kelly A. Struhs as a partner in its real estate practice group. She has over a decade of real estate experience, including practice at local firms as well as past service as in-house counsel at Pacific Realty Associates LP. She focuses her practice on commercial real estate transactions. She represents buyers, sellers, developers and borrowers in transactions involving shopping centers, office buildings, industrial properties and multifamily properties.

REAL ESTATE
NAI Norris, Beggs & Simpson Senior Property Manager Christina DuCot茅 will serve as the 2013 president of the Institute of Real Estate Management Oregon-Columbia River Chapter No. 29. She joined the company in 2010 with more than 15 years of property management experience. Prior to joining NAI NBS, DuCot茅 was a senior property manager at The Muller Company in San Diego.

REAL ESTATE
Mike Sloop, director of project management for CBRE-Portland, recently was awarded the Certified Construction Manager designation. CCM is the 鈥済old standard鈥� in personnel credentials for construction management. Only eight people in Oregon hold the designation.

Also, Scott Weigel of CBRE recently was named to the Ambassador Board for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Oregon. He has more than 26 years of Portland-based real estate transactional experience. His son, Jack, was a Make-A-Wish recipient in 2011.

CONSULTING
Terracon recently promoted Kristopher T. Hauck, manager of the firm鈥檚 Portland office, to senior associate. He has more than 12 years of industry experience in geotechnical engineering. He was recognized for consistently high performance and potential for career advancement.

ENGINEERING
DCI Engineers, a structural and civil engineering firm based in Seattle, recently acquired a Eugene structural engineering firm. M.R. Richards and DCI Engineers are now functioning as one operation, known as MRR+DCI Engineers. The combined firm is expected to be able to provide a large client base with a highly professional team that utilizes state-of-the-art technology, common sense and many collective years of experience. MRR+DCI Engineers will continue to provide structural engineering services for a wide array of project types, including residential, educational, medical, governmental and industrial.

FINANCE
Sterling Bank recently hired Gary Branden to serve as vice president and trust officer at its Fox Tower office in Portland, at 805 S.W. Broadway. He has more than 32 years of experience in the estate planning and trust services industry. Prior to coming to Sterling, he served as a senior trust and fiduciary specialist with Wells Fargo鈥檚 Wealth Management Group in Portland.

LAW
Oregon Labor Commissioner Brad Avakian recently announced the appointment of Jenn Gaddis as chief prosecutor for the Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries. In addition to taking the lead on select agency cases, she will oversee the team that prosecutes charges for acts such as failure to pay minimum wage or overtime, child labor violations, unlawful employment practices or discrimination in housing and public accommodations. Gaddis has worked in district attorneys鈥� offices in three Oregon counties and prosecuted a range of serious cases.
