Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt recently expanded its board of directors from five to eight in a recent election. President David Bartz and managing shareholder Mark Long were re-elected as co-leaders of the firm. The new directors are shareholders Troy Greenfield, Lisa Lowe and Joel Parker, who join shareholders Jill Gelineau, Kevin Kerstiens and Bert Markovich to fill the board.

Also, Román D. Hernández, a shareholder in the firm’s Portland office, will be the 2013 recipient of the Oregon Hispanic Bar Association’s Paul J. De Muniz Professionalism Award. It honors someone who elevates the practice of law by a combination of: exemplary professionalism, significant contribution to the justice system and the public, exceptional courage in the face of adversity, outstanding service to the bench and bar, outstanding service to the people of Oregon, exceptional volunteer work and community service, outstanding efforts in providing free or low-cost services to the poor, significant contribution to advancing legal education in Oregon, dedication to mentoring students and legal professionals, exemplary dedication to the OHBA, and exemplary service to the Latino community.

Gordon Welborn, a partner in the firm of Hart Wagner LLP, which has offices in Portland and Redmond, recently became a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers. Fellowship in the college is extended by invitation, only after careful investigation, to experienced trial lawyers who have mastered the art of advocacy and whose professional careers have been marked by the highest standards of ethical conduct, professionalism, civility and collegiality. Membership in the college cannot exceed 1 percent of the total lawyer population of the state of Oregon. Welborn focuses his practice on litigation involving professionals.

MARKETING

Main Street Oregon City, a nonprofit, recently hired Ethan Erickson as its marketing and promotions coordinator. He will work with business owners and other area partners to develop programs and projects that showcase downtown Oregon City. He has six years of professional work experience in Oregon.
