ARCHITECTURE

Hennebery Eddy Architects recently promoted Michelle Vo to principal and Jon McGrew to associate principal.

Since joining the firm in 2003, Vo has helped lead operations, business development and project development. She has led teams on community, commercial and K-12 school projects for public and private clients. As principal, she will participate in strategic planning and lead efforts to develop new opportunities for commercial and civic projects.

McGrew is a leader for higher education projects and a project manager with an understanding of schedule and budget considerations. As associate principal, he will help expand the firm’s portfolio of academic and community projects.

ENGINEERING

Murray, Smith & Associates Inc., a Northwest public works engineering firm, recently named Troy L. Bowers its new president. He will replace David W. Leibbrandt, who held the role for the past 10 years. Bowers joined the firm in 1990, and has served as senior vice president since 2008. He has led transportation engineering efforts and participated in the company’s geographic expansion.

LAW

Timothy Haslach, a shareholder in the Portland office of Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt, recently was appointed co-chairman of the policy subcommittee of the American Bar Association Technology Standardization Committee. It seeks to improve the development of solutions to policy issues with a mixture of legal and technical factors. The policy subcommittee is responsible for identifying and circulating standards-relevant legislative, regulatory, trade and other policy proposals that may interest committee members. Haslach focuses his practice on the formation and development of technology-related trade associations.

ARCHITECTURE

Carleton Hart Architecture recently named Dave Calem a principal, hired Mark Coplin as a senior project manager and hired Kim Moran as a marketing coordinator.

Calem joined the firm in 2001 and has more than 20 years of experience in the profession. He has participated in projects ranging from single-family residences to mid-rise commercial buildings to regional transportation hubs.

Coplin has more than 28 years of experience. He will focus on mixed-use buildings and senior housing.

Moran will oversee Carleton Hart’s marketing communications by creating proposals and developing marketing, social media and graphic design projects.

NONPROFIT

John Bischof last month joined Central City Concern’s Old Town Recovery Center as medical director. He has a wealth of knowledge and experience in many settings, including community mental health, academia, and the public and private sectors. He most recently worked at OptumHealth Behavioral Solutions for five years in various director roles. The Old Town Recovery Center delivers outpatient care to approximately 650 severely mentally ill clients each year.

REAL ESTATE

Lindsay Bigby recently joined NBS Financial Services as manager of loan administration. She oversees loan closings, payment collection, escrow and financial analysis, property inspections, assumptions and acquisitions, payoffs, maturities, lease analysis, insurance requirements, investor reporting and customer service for a $1.7 billion loan portfolio. She also supervises the loan administration staff. She previously spent nearly five years in loan closing at the Portland office of HFF.

REAL ESTATE

Karen Blades, Julie Curry and Molly Hruska of Prudential Northwest Properties’ Scappoose branch recently were elected to fill the state director positions on the 2013 board of the Columbia County Association of Realtors. The 124-member Columbia County Board of Realtors offers legislative representation to real estate practitioners and affiliated service providers in Columbia County and surrounding areas.
