Corbett Gordon, a founder and former senior counsel at the Portland office of Fisher & Phillips, recently joined the growing labor and employment practice at Tonkon Torp LLP. She has more than three decades of experience representing private- and public-sector employers. She has tried cases before juries in state and federal courts in Oregon and Washington, and prevailed in client appeals in state and federal courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court.

Jordan Ramis PC attorney Katie Jeremiah recently was selected as one of Engineering News Record鈥檚 鈥淭op 20 Under 40鈥� for 2013. She was honored in the Northwest region, which includes Alaska, Washington and Oregon. The list recognizes young professionals in design and construction practices. ENR has held the competition since 2011 and receives up to 100 entries per year in each of 10 regions across the U.S.聽 The final list is selected by an independent jury of industry leaders and is based on each nominee鈥檚 experience, leadership skills and community service.

The 2013 World Trademark Review 1000 recently named Lane Powell as one of the top trademark law firms in Oregon and Lane Powell intellectual property attorneys Kenneth R. Davis II and Parna A. Mehrbani as top individuals in the practice in Oregon.

Lane Powell鈥檚 Portland office recently added three attorneys to its intellectual property practice group.

Julianne Davis formerly was a senior attorney with Nike Inc. She has patent litigation and counseling experience in utility and design patents, trademarks, product configuration trade dress, trade secrets and counterfeiting.

Brenna Legaard has patent and trademark litigation and counseling experience in consumer goods, wireless technology and medical devices.

Jay Smith-Hill focuses his practice on intellectual property litigation, patent prosecution and strategic counseling while pursuing his interests in anti-counterfeiting, data protection and privacy law.

Miller Nash LLP this month added Tyler Anderson and Carla Kelley to its Portland office business practice team.

Anderson previously was with Stoel Rives LLP, which he joined in 2008 and primarily contributed to the corporate, securities and finance practice group. He represented public and private companies in transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financing deals, and real property agreements. He has expertise in food, beverage and hospitality practice areas.

Kelley previously served as general counsel for the Port of Portland for 10 years. She managed the organization鈥檚 15-person in-house legal division, and provided full-service legal advice to the port鈥檚 business lines. She provided legal management on a wide range of issues, from port governance and contamination liability to complex real estate transactions and municipal bond issuance.

REAL ESTATE

Eight Norris, Beggs & Simpson employees received advanced titles at the company鈥檚 annual awards banquet in January.

Representing the brokerage team, Charlie Floberg, a Portland office broker, and Doug Bartocci, a Vancouver, Wash., office broker, were named associate vice president.

From the property management department, Mary Cresto, manager of property management accounting, was named a vice president. Also, Beverly Chestnut Foster was named an associate vice president, and Becky Yarger was named a senior property manager.

At NBS Financial Services, Mick Stapleton, the commercial mortgage banking arm of the company, was named a senior associate finance officer, and Kim Miller was promoted to executive assistant.

In the administrative division, Ken Moody, IT manager, was named associate vice president.

ARCHITECTURE

LRS Architects recently hired Charles Berteaux, Patrick Fisher, Joe Bosnar, Benjamin Nielson, Anne Bedney and Tracy Bellman.

Berteaux is a building information modeling manager. He has 14 years of experience, including work on a wide range of complex, high-tech and manufacturing facility projects.

Fisher in 2012 received his master鈥檚 of architecture from the University of Portland. He is working in the housing studio.

Bosnar is a LEED certified professional with five years of experience with commercial and residential projects. He is working in the commercial office studio.

Nielson, an intern architect, has eight years of experience. He has worked on public-sector, multifamily and hospitality projects. He is working in the housing studio.

Bedney has more than five years of experience with retail, housing and high-tech projects. She is working in the interiors studio.

Bellman is a project coordinator. She is working in the commercial studio.
