COMMUNICATIONS
Frause, a strategic communications firm, recently added Jennifer Werdel and Hannah Rand to its Portland team.
Werdel is a senior account executive. She has worked with a wide range of organizations 鈥 including Fortune 500 companies and nonprofits 鈥 in a career spanning more than 15 years.
Rand is an assistant account executive. She recently received a bachelor鈥檚 degree in journalism, with an emphasis on public relations, from the University of Oregon.
CONSTRUCTION
John Baradin of Skanska USA鈥檚 Oregon office was promoted to safety director. He has more than 15 years of industry experience, including a stint as safety manager for one of Skanska鈥檚 largest projects in Oregon. In his new role, he will coordinate efforts to help protect workers throughout the state.
Also, the Oregon office recently gained nine employees.
Omar Ali is a scheduler with more than seven years of industry experience.
Charlotte Cook is an assistant marketing coordinator. She received a bachelor鈥檚 degree from Portland State University.
Ryan Mattson is a regional schedule manager. He transferred from Skanska鈥檚 Michigan office, where he worked for more than 10 years.
Jim McCroskey is an estimating manager. He has extensive electrical estimating experience.
David Rodriguez is a project manager with more than 20 years of experience.
Kate Schruth is an administrative assistant. She has a bachelor鈥檚 degree in English.
Randy Strickland is a systems engineer with more than 25 years of information technology experience.
Khang Tran is a VDC BIM engineer. He has bachelor鈥檚 and master鈥檚 degrees in architecture from Portland State University.
Trevor Wyckoff is a senior project manager with 17 years of industry experience, including 15 with Skanska.
REAL ESTATE
Steven Klein, senior vice president and managing partner at Kidder Mathews, recently was named Industrial Broker of the Year by the Commercial Association of Brokers. This award was presented at an awards banquet at the Governor Hotel in Portland. Klein is a 32-year veteran of commercial real estate, and has completed over 2.6 million square feet of industrial and business park development and redevelopment projects in the Portland-metro area. He has been a member of CAB for the past nine years.
REAL ESTATE
CBRE Group Inc. recently ranked highest among commercial real estate services and investment companies in Fortune鈥檚 annual Most Admired Companies list for the third consecutive year, and ranked as the top commercial real estate brand in Lipsey Company鈥檚 annual brand survey for the 12th consecutive year.
The Fortune list rates companies on a host of attributes related to corporate performance. CBRE scored particularly well in quality of services, innovation, global competitiveness and social responsibility among companies in the real estate sector. Drawing from a base of some 1,400 companies, a total of 687 companies from 30 countries were surveyed by Fortune.
The Lipsey survey measures commercial real estate professionals鈥 perceptions of the industry鈥檚 leading brands. More than 100,000 U.S. and international professionals participated in the 2013 survey, including property owners, investors, lenders, occupiers, brokers and property managers.
LAW
Lane Powell last month received the No. 2 ranking in the large business category for employee benefits of the 20th annual 100 Best Companies To Work For In Oregon. The firm ranked second for the third consecutive year. The list recognizes companies 鈥 in large, medium and small categories 鈥 for excellence in work environment, management and communications, decision-making and trust, career development and learning, and benefits and compensation.
