Southeast Hawthorne retail space renovated for new sandwich shop

General contractor is renovating a storefront at 1711 S.E. Hawthorne Blvd. for Devil鈥檚 Dill Sandwiches, a new late-night gourmet take-out and delivery restaurant. Work on the project began in mid-February and includes revamped electrical, plumbing, floors and finishes. The 814-square-foot space, which will consist of a kitchen and carry-out counter, was designed by owners Chris Serena and Gavin Duffy. Work is slated for completion in early April.
