Hundreds of architectural creations by schoolchildren will be on display on May 2, from 5 to 8 p.m., at various locations in Portland.

Through the Architecture Foundation of Oregon’s annual six-week Architects in Schools program, architects introduce third-graders, fourth-graders and fifth-graders to the basics of architecture and design. The children then create their own projects.

This year’s program involved more than 2,200 children. Their work will be on display at: the Center for Architecture, 403 N.W. 11th Ave.; Opsis Architecture, 920 N.W. 17th Ave.; Pioneer Place, 700 S.W. Fifth Ave.; and ZGF Architects LLP, 1223 S.W. Washington St.

Also, some of the children’s work will be on display on May 3 at the Old Mill District in Bend.
