BUSINESS
Meriwether Group, an adviser to iconic brands, recently added a chief operating officer and a principal. It also formed an advisory board.

Jake Kindrachuck is COO. He formerly served Endeavour Capital, and helped guide a $1.5 billion private equity fund focused on companies in the West region. He will oversee daily operations and long-term positioning for Meriwether Group. He also will serve as managing director of Meriwether Capital Partners.

Carey Johnston is a principal. Johnston has more than a decade of experience working with food brands, including Oregon Chai, Kerry Food and Beverage, Living Harvest and Food Should Taste Good.

Also, Meriwether Group鈥檚 new advisory board includes Clare Hamill, vice president of global growth initiatives; Scott Staff, director of business development for Perkins Coie; and Steven Wynne, executive vice president and chief marketing officer of Moda Health. The board will guide growth strategy and planning for the firm鈥檚 business acceleration practice.

BUSINESS
Greater Portland Inc. recently hired Alisa Pyszka as vice president of business recruitment and expansion. She will be responsible for coordinating a proactive business recruitment program for the Portland-metro area and providing support for the region鈥檚 business retention and expansion activities. Pyszka has a wealth of experience in business recruitment and regional economic development, and previously served as the economic development division manager for the city of Vancouver. In that position, she led the city鈥檚 recruitment efforts and oversaw development of critical employment lands.

ENGINEERING
OBEC Consulting Engineers recently added Andy Burke as an environmental specialist. He will support the firm鈥檚 expanding range of environmental services by providing natural resource, environmental, permitting and land-use assistance. Burke previously worked in the Oregon State University engineering department as a field assistant for the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife.

ENGINEERING
Hart Crowser, a Seattle-based environmental and engineering consulting firm with offices in Portland and Vancouver, Wash., recently added Kevin Schleh and Max Gummer to its environmental and geotechnical team in Oregon and Southwest Washington.

Schleh is a senior geologist based in Portland. He manages environmental cleanups and focuses on integrating remediation with geotechnical work for site redevelopment.

Gummer is a geotechnical engineer. He is joining the geotechnical group that Hart Crowser acquired in Portland a year and a half ago.

PUBLIC RELATIONS
The Portland office of Edelman, the world鈥檚 largest independent public relations agency, recently added three public relations professionals.

Rachel Weikum is an account supervisor. She has experience ranging from traditional public relations to webinar production. She most recently ran her own consultancy, working with a variety of Fortune 500 technology companies and startup businesses.

Mary Slonske is a senior account executive. She has experience relating to technology and consumer brands. She previously spent more than four years with Nereus, a technology communications agency that has an office in Beaverton.

Devon Downeysmith is an account executive. She previously served as marketing and communications manager for Komen Oregon and as a digital marketing consultant and producer with Assertion Films and LMNO Productions.

REAL ESTATE
Guardian Real Estate Services recently promoted Adrian Boly to director of acquisitions, a new role for the company, in response to recent growth in acquisition and development activity.聽His primary responsibility is to originate new acquisition and development opportunities for placement within Guardian鈥檚 multifamily portfolio. He has more than nine years of real estate investment, development, asset management and disposition experience. He joined Guardian in 2011 as an asset manager.
