Lenity Architecture, a Salem-based planning, development, architecture and management firm, recently hired Lee Gwyn as an associate architect. He has 22 years of experience in design, production and administration. He has focused on education, retail, automotive, corporate, assisted living, industrial, housing and public buildings.

FINANCE
Columbia Credit Union recently hired Phil Allen as vice president of business lending. He has 18 years of commercial finance industry experience, and previously served as a commercial business banking officer for a community bank in the area. With Columbia, he will focus on developing and maintaining business loan and deposit relationships, generating primary customer and prospect lists and assisting with commercial lending operations.

Dunn Carney partner Heather Guthrie recently was named to Five Star Professional鈥檚 2013 list for estate planning in Portland. This is the third year for her on the list.聽Award candidates were evaluated against 10 objective criteria such as client retention rates, client assets administered and a favorable regulatory and complaint history. The resulting list is a select group, representing less than 7 percent of the wealth managers in the Portland area.

Patent attorney John R. Dawson recently joined Lane Powell鈥檚 Portland office as counsel to the firm in its intellectual property and technology practice group. He focuses his practice on U.S. and international patent procurement, licensing, enforcement and related counseling. He has more than 18 years of experience helping startups as well as small, midsize and large corporations protect their software, electromechanical, business method and mechanical inventions. He also has worked as an engineer for IBM and Boeing.

Also, Lane Powell shareholder Carolyn M. Vogt recently was elected to serve as president of the board of directors for Columbia Land Trust, a nonprofit that works to conserve the Columbia River region鈥檚 signature landscapes and vital habitats. She is a business transaction attorney with experience in renewable energy and sustainability projects.

Darien Loiselle, a shareholder in the Portland office of Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt, recently was named the 2013 recipient of the Associated Builders and Contractors鈥� Kathleen Eldridge Award. It honors superior dedication to and participation within the organization. Eldridge joined ABC鈥檚 Pacific Northwest chapter in 1975 and became an active member and leader. She remains a lifetime member. Loiselle represents owners, general contractors, designers, engineers and specialty contractors. He has extensive experience negotiating agreements, solving complex disputes and representing clients in litigation.

The Multnomah County Board of Commissioners and the Multnomah County Citizen Involvement Committee recently honored Tonkon Torp attorney Max M. Miller Jr. with a 2013 Multnomah County Volunteer Award for his service on the Regional Arts and Culture Council.聽He also received the award in 2011. Miller is chairman of Tonkon Torp鈥檚 environmental and natural resources practice group. He focuses on complex hazardous waste, air and water pollution matters, as well as forestry and renewable energy.

Tonkon Torp recently added David Rabbino, a senior environmental lawyer and a former attorney for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, to its roster. He is a member of the firm鈥檚 broad-based and growing environmental and natural resources practice group. He will focus on environmental and natural resources litigation. He has more than 20 years of experience in environmental law, and has represented both plaintiffs and defendants. He previously was a shareholder with Hunsucker Goodstein in Lafayette, Calif.

CONSTRUCTION
Heather Miller, a Dynalectric project manager, recently was appointed by Gov. John Kitzhaber to a four-year position as the journeyman electrician on the Oregon Electrical and Elevator Board. It assists the Building Codes Division by determining where and by whom electrical installations are allowed to be performed, and where electrical products are sold. Miller started her electrical apprenticeship in 1995 at Grasle Electric (now Dynalectric) and gained most of her experience working at the Mark O. Hatfield federal courthouse in Portland. She became a journeyman electrician in 2000.

REAL ESTATE
Becki Unger and associate Gina Hosford, of 鈥淭eam Unger鈥� recently received awards and recognition for their production contributions to Better Homes and Gardens Realty Partners for 2013. They also have been voted by their clients as five-star real estate agents in Portland Monthly magazine for two years in a row.

Carrie Houck recently joined the CBRE Portland multi-housing group as a senior associate. Her responsibilities include project analysis, preparation of marketing materials, property tours and client presentations. She previously was with the CBRE Chicago multi-housing team. Before that, she was responsible for underwriting multifamily and office developments and acquisitions for Fifield Realty.

ENGINEERING
WHPacific鈥檚 Portland transportation office recently added Chad Haubrich as an engineer in training. He previously was a transportation engineer for Transpo Group and the Washington State Department of Transportation. He has led a variety of engineering efforts from start to finish, including major parks improvements and WSDOT projects.
