ARCHITECTURE
Mark Rossi of Pinnacle Architecture will be a featured speaker at the ninth biennial Farmworker Housing Asset and Property Management conference. He will join a panel set to discuss Capital Needs Assessment as it relates to multifamily and farmworker housing. The event, hosted by CASA of Oregon, is scheduled for June 12-14 at Eagle Crest Resort in Redmond. On the panel, Rossi will be joined by Kyle Anderson of LMC Construction, Keith Wooden of Housing Works and Shelley Lubbers of Inspections Unlimited.

ENERGY
Powin Energy, a wholly owned subsidiary of Powin Corp., recently appointed Jeffrey Grumbling as its president and CEO. He will lead Powin Energy’s efforts to bring its new battery and energy storage technologies to large-scale commercial production and distribution. Grumbling has more than 25 years of experience building and leading retail and manufacturing operations throughout the U.S. He is recognized as an expert on facilitating process change, and is certified in Six Sigma and lean manufacturing methodologies from Villanova University.

ENGINEERING
Emerio Design, a civil engineering and land development firm, recently promoted Eric Evans to director of engineering. He will oversee and manage civil engineering activities at Emerio offices in Beaverton. He has over 16 years of experience in construction management, cost estimating and civil engineering along the West Coast, but has specific jurisdictional knowledge in the Portland area.
Also, Emerio Design recently acquired Land Tech. With the addition of King Phelps and his staff, the firm is expanding its civil engineering and land development services to include land survey. The survey department will operate out of the Beaverton office. Phelps has more than 30 years of land surveying experience.

FINANCE
IQ Credit Union recently named Chris Anderson vice president of mortgage services. He oversees all mortgage lending operations and develops new mortgage products and strategic initiatives. He also is instrumental in designing, launching and operating the credit union’s new online mortgage center. With 30 years of experience in sales, retail banking and mortgage lending, he has worked in a variety of financial institutions in Oregon, California and New Hampshire.

FINANCE
HomeStreet Bank recently added Bryce Payne as vice president and relationship manager for commercial real estate. He will be responsible for loan originations and financing options, including acquisition, construction, bridge and term financing. He has more than a decade of experience in commercial real estate and finance, and has held positions with C.E. John Co. and Wells Fargo.

NONPROFIT
Mercy Corps recently added Gayle Tzemach Lemmon, deputy director of the Council on Foreign Relations’ women and foreign policy program, to its board of directors. She also is a contributing editor-at-large at Newsweek and the Daily Beast. She previously spent more than 10 years as a journalist with ABC News.

REAL ESTATE
Lois Waugh recently joined NBS Multifamily Management as a regional manager. She has more than 20 years of experience managing properties and assets, including conventional and affordable housing. Previously, she was a vice president of property with College Housing Northwest.
