BUSINESS
Viewpoint Construction Software recently promoted Beth Allen to director of learning services and Brent Kuenzi to vice president of V6 software sales.

The company also hired Neil Jones as a database specialist, Kristina McEllrath as a quality assurance engineer, Mark Blanchard as a customer sales representative, Craig Wren as a customer sales representative, Patrice Dodd as a technical writer, Swati Raje as a channel manager of professional services, Aaron Jost as a product manager, Stephen Chellis as a project manager, Kristin Baehr as an accountant, Chris Marshel as an application support specialist and Matt Mosely as a cloud sales engineer.

ENGINEERING
DCI Engineers recently added Michael Poulos as a structural project engineer in its Portland office. He has more than 10 years of industry experience. In his new position, Poulos analyzes and designs structures for both gravity and lateral loads. He presently is providing ongoing services for a new student center at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Wash.

LAW
Lane Powell recently added attorney A. Jeffery Bird as a shareholder in its business practice group. He will practice out of the Portland office, and concentrate on assisting clients with complex business transactions. Those may include mergers and acquisitions, public and private securities offerings, tender offers, proxy contests, divestitures for public and private companies, corporate finance, securities law and venture capital transactions. Bird previously was a shareholder at Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt, where he was chairman of the business transitions practice group and co-chairman of the corporate finance and securities group. He has more than 25 years of experience handling business transaction issues.

LAW
Three Fisher & Phillips attorneys based in Portland recently were named to the 2013 Chambers USA list of leading lawyers in business. Rich Meneghello, regional managing partner in the Portland office, and Clarence Belnavis and Tamsen Leachman, partners in the Portland office, all were recognized in labor and employment. Chambers’ team of researchers conducts thousands of interviews with lawyers and their clients to identify and rank the lawyers.

Three Littler Mendelson attorneys based in Oregon recently were named to the 2013 Chambers and Partners listing. Howard Rubin, Amy Alpern and Larry Amburgey all were listed in labor and employment. Also, Douglas Parker, who splits time between offices in Portland and Anchorage, Alaska, was listed in labor and employment as well. REAL ESTATE
Windermere/Cronin & Caplan Realty Group Inc. recently added Casey Franklin, Jesse Imus, Erin Metcalf and Amy Radonich-Grauel as brokers in its Lake Oswego office and Tony Manduley as a broker in its Vancouver, Wash., office on Mill Plain Boulevard.

ARCHITECTURE
Western Architectural recently added two licensed architects to its headquarters in Portland.

Kristin Andersen has more than 23 years of experience in architectural design and forensic architecture. She has focused on investigations and repair for project types such as multifamily, mixed use, industrial, high tech, corporate and academic. She has been involved in federal government projects requiring strict security clearances.

Jim Davis has more than 16 years of experience with project types such as affordable housing, condominiums and multifamily, education, communications and aviation facilities. He has focused on forensic architecture, construction defect investigations and building envelope consulting. He has experience as a quality assurance manager for a leading construction firm.

ENGINEERING
John Wood, a project director in Heery International’s health care practice, recently was elected as an associate board member to the Oregon Society for Healthcare Engineering board of directors. OSHE is the Oregon chapter of the American Society for Healthcare Engineering; Wood in 2008 served as president and chairman of the board for the 11,000-person organization.

Tom Tongue was listed in commercial litigation, Ken Antell and Gil Parker were listed in real estate, JoDee Keegan was listed in corporate/mergers and acquisitions, and Allyson Krueger was listed in labor and employment. Ronald McDonald House Charities of Oregon and Southwest Washington recently appointed business leaders to its board of trustees and advisory board.
Board officer appointments include: Beth Irish, board chairwoman; and Grant Jones, chairman-elect.

Board of trustees appointments include: Julia Brooks, president of Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts; Jessie Minton, director of OHSU’s information technology group; Janice Swanson, regional managing director of Principal Financial Group; and Douglas L. Wirges, director of sales for Parr Lumber.

Advisory board appointments include: Kris Minton, manager of provider relations for HealthNet of Oregon; Steve Scott, senior manager of corporate partnerships sales and services for the Portland Trail Blazers; and Laurie Whittemore, principal broker of Windermere Cronin & Caplan Realty Group.
