Crews with began work Friday on a project to repair and replace sewer pipes on Southeast Cesar Chavez Boulevard for Portland’s Bureau of Environmental Services. The street will be closed for up to three weeks between Hawthorne Boulevard and Division Street while around-the-clock work is performed. The work is part of the $6 million Rose City Sewer Project, which will repair or replace aging sewer pipes at eight different sites in the city.
