Carmen Calzacorta, a shareholder in Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt鈥檚 business and corporate practice group, recently was named chairwoman of the firm鈥檚 business transitions group. It is a multidisciplinary team of experienced attorneys who counsel clients on how to maximize, capture and then protect wealth created in their closely-held businesses. Calzacorta is filling a seat previously held by Jeff Bird. She focuses her practice in the area of corporate law, with an emphasis on securities law compliance, corporate finance transactions, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and general business advice.
