ARCHITECTURE
Holst Architecture recently hired Xylia Buros as marketing manager, Jannel Waldron as a design staff member, Rachel Brand as a design staff member, Matthew Rusnac as a design staff member, Lee Jorgensen as a design staff member, Heather Flegel as a design staff member, Drew Hastings as a junior designer and Nicole Steele as an office assistant.

Buros will oversee all aspects of business development, marketing and public relations for the firm. She has more than a decade of marketing and communications experience, and has written about art, design and culture for many publications.

Waldron has seven years of experience with higher education and public sector projects. She most recently was with Architekton in Phoenix.

Brand has a decade of experience, most recently with Denver-based Alvarez Morris Architectural Studio. She will work on a variety of retail and hospitality projects at Holst.

Rusnac has several years of experience in construction. He recently graduated from Portland State University with a degree in architecture. He will work on a variety of projects, including commercial/retail, mixed use and educational.

Jorgensen will work on a variety of projects, including high-density multifamily, commercial/retail and mixed use.

Flegel will assist with establishing Revit standards. She has 18 years of experience with civic and educational projects (both K-12 and higher education) throughout Oregon, California and Washington. She was previously with THA Architecture.

Hastings previously spent three years in San Francisco, where he worked on higher education, K-12, commercial/office and retail projects.

Steele has nine years of experience, including retail management and nonprofit development.
