Big things could be in the works for the Hollywood Bowl building in Northeast Portland.

Jerry Baysinger, senior principal at Baysinger Partners, has requested an early assistance meeting with the Bureau of Development Services for a proposal to redevelop the Hollywood Bowl building, at 4030 N.E. Halsey St., for Orchard Supply Hardware. Baysinger declined to comment on the application, but said the proposed project is being handled by Oppidan, a Minnetonka, Minn.-based development company that has a branch in San Jose, Calif.

Oppidan officials did not immediately return calls seeking comment, nor did representatives of ³¢´Ç·É±ð’²õÌý°ä´Ç²õ., which in August for $205 million in cash.

Capital Pacific has listed the 42,404-square-foot Hollywood Bowl building for $7.64 million. The bowling alley has nine years left on its lease, but developers have the option to buy the business out for $595,000. Capital Pacific declined to comment on the redevelopment proposal.

Orchard Supply Hardware weeks ago withdrew from Security Properties’ mixed-use development on North Williams Avenue. The retailer has two existing stores in the Portland area – one in Beaverton and one in Tigard.
