The city of Portland has released its final version of a sick leave ordinance that goes into effect at the beginning of 2014. Now employers who were holding off on creating or retooling their company policies are scrambling to get changes made by the Jan. 1 effective date.

With the goal of helping update employers on the finer points of the final version of the sick leave ordinance, Bullard Law has scheduled a seminar from 9 to 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 19. Attorneys Kathy Hindman and Emily Shults will lead attendees through the minimum requirements in and mandates under the final version of the ordinance.
