Bruce Howell, an attorney with Schwabe, Williamson and Wyatt, has signed on to teach a class on the Affordable Care Act at Willamette University College of Law.
Norman Williams, associate dean for academic affairs at the college, said the class Howell will teach is the first of its kind in the nation.
Howell, who received his law degree from the University of Michigan Law School, has focused his law practice at Schwabe on various aspects of health law. In addition to handling cases in related to reimbursement, fraud and abuse, organ transplant technology and clinical research, he has accumulated expertise in the Affordable Care Act.
He will begin to teach the class as an adjunct professor at the law college in January.
