Turner Construction Co. is renovating the lobby and atrium of the U.S. Bancorp Tower in downtown Portland. The $12 million to $14 million project to modernize the tower and adjacent plaza building began this past summer and is slated for completion in June 2014. Work on the GBD Architects-designed project includes enclosing second- and third-floor spaces which were former common areas in floor-to-ceiling glass to create meeting rooms, creating new stairs and walkways, upgraded finishes, and enclosing a breezeway on the podium’s south side to create more tenant space.
