A look inside the Society Hotel building

Walking through the building at 203 N.W. Third Ave. is like taking a step back in time. The 134-year-old building is full of relics from the past, from yellowed old newspapers to graffiti on the wall by 鈥淭he Frisco Kid,鈥� who passed through 80 years ago. What was once a safe haven for sailors passing through Portland will again become a stopping point for weary travelers after a $3 million renovation is completed on the future Society Hotel.
