Alternative energy, transportation electrification and the smart grid will take center stage during the 2014 SusTech Conference, June 24-26, at the Double Tree hotel in Portland.

The conference, organized by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and its regional and Oregon chapters, will offer sessions and presentations exploring the development and application of science, engineering and technology to promote sustainability. Early-bird registration for the full conference is $495 for IEEE members, or $595 for nonmembers, with prices increasing by $100 after June 25. Single-day registrations and workshop-only registrations also are available.
