Bank signs agreement to become Park Avenue West tenant

Washington Trust Bank has signed a 10-year lease with TMT Development to move into the 18th floor of the Park Avenue West tower under construction in downtown Portland.

The Spokane, Wash.-based bank plans to move its Oregon regional headquarters from a 7,500-square-foot space in the Portland Building to a full-floor, 15,725-square-foot office in the 30-story tower scheduled to open in late 2015.

The additional space will allow the bank to hire more Portland-based staffers and have the entire team on the same floor, Washington Trust Bank Oregon regional President Linda Williams said in an email.

Nick Ehlen of Melvin Mark Cos. served as the broker for the deal.

Washington Trust Bank has 43 branches and offices in Idaho, Oregon and Washington. The Oregon region specializes in commercial banking, private banking and wealth management services.
