In her role as a senior project manager at Soil Solutions Environmental Services, Tess Chadil has become adept at donning many hats. In addition to hiring and training new project managers for the company, she helps set long-term growth goals for Soil Solutions and implements steps to help the company meet those goals. In between, she helps refine contracts and work plans, always with an eye toward helping the company improve its quality of work.

Through her work on a variety of tank decommissioning and radon mitigation projects, she gained invaluable experience that helped her step into a role as a senior project manager. As Soil Solutions has taken on a growing number of projects, especially in the commercial area, Chadil has earned the respect of her colleagues with her willingness to step forward to take on additional tasks.

Under her leadership, Soil Solutions has been able to nearly double the number of project managers in its tank department during the past two years. Her efforts have helped the company secure several large projects and work with an impressive list of clients, including Portland Public Schools; American Property Management; and Slayden/Sundt, the project contractor for the Sellwood Bridge Replacement Project in Portland.

She uses her knowledge of environmental issues to help educate other professionals in the real estate market, and has served as a presenter at the Regional Multiple Listing Service’s Education and Trade Fair Summit, which was held in Portland.

More recently, she organized and presented a training session to help commercial real estate leasing and sales companies in the region stay updated on the latest regulatory issues.
