Umpqua Bank, a subsidiary of Umpqua Holdings Corp., has hired Joel Brandenburg as executive vice president and chief auditor in Portland. His responsibilities include leading the company鈥檚 internal audit team as well as overseeing the company鈥檚 Sarbanes-Oxley program. He has more than two decades of internal and external audit experience, having most recently served as the acting general auditor for Tokyo-based MUFG Union Bank.
