Work is progressing on the Cook Street Apartments, a mixed-use project on the North Williams Avenue-Vancouver Avenue corridor that broke ground last June. General contractor Sierra Construction听Co. topped out the building earlier this month, and expect to have it sealed up by August. Installation of the metal skin will begin next month, and drywall installation has begun on the building’s upper floors.

The LRS Architects-designed project will contain 206 apartments, ranging in size from studios to two-bedrooms. The building’s ground floor will feature commercial space and tuck-under parking for retail tenants, while a sub-grade garage will accommodate residential parking. The project is slated for completion in January 2016.
