Art Newby has been promoted to executive vice president/chief information office at Columbia Credit Union. Newby received a bachelor鈥檚 degree in business management from the Marine Corps Officer School and holds IT systems engineer certifications from Microsoft and Novell.

He most recently served as the credit union鈥檚 senior vice president/chief information officer. In his new position, he will be responsible for the planning and implementation of enterprise IT systems and business continuity. He also will work Steve Kenny, the credit union鈥檚 chief executive officer, to provide oversight over all of the credit union鈥檚 departments, with special responsibility related to the areas of general service, e-commerce, retail support and project management.
