Local charities will be on the receiving end of two events being organized by B.U.L.L. Session.

The organization, which is a coalition of business union and labor leaders, will hold a dinner and auction at the Oregon Convention Center on Sept. 14, followed by a golf tournament on Sept. 15. The group is hoping to raise $350,000 from both events to benefit Oregon charities that serve kids.

The dinner and auction, which will be held at the Oregon Convention Center, will feature items ranging from sports game tickets to travel packages. The will begin with a social hour and silent auction at 5:30 p.m.  Dinner will be served at 6:45. A live auction, featuring long-time Portland Trailblazer announcer Bill Schonely, will begin at 7.  Tickets are $150 per person.

The golf tournament will be held  at the Reserve Vineyards and Golf Club, 4805 S.W. 229th Ave., in Aloha. Shotgun starts will be held at 7:30 a.m. and 1:15 p.m. Award ceremonies will be held at 11 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. The cost is $400 for a single player or $1,500 for a foursome.

This the 24th year that B.U.L.L. Session has held a fundraising event for local children’s charities. To date, the organization has raised $5.2 million for organizations that have included Gales Creek Camp, Albertina Kerr Children’s Development Health Services and Randall Children’s Hospital at Legacy Emmanuel.

Registration for the auction event and golf tournament can be found on the B.U.L.L. Session
