Jet Industries and its clients may have been playing golf during the company鈥檚 client appreciation day tournament on Aug. 21, but the event scored a home run for a nonprofit called Home of the Brave.

The golf tournament, now in its third year, raised more than $180,000 for the Home of the Brave, an organization that provides support to homeless veterans in Salem by helping them develop skills that include self-reliance and residential stability in order to reintegrate back into society. That amount makes the tournament, which was held at Illahe Hills Counry Club in Salem, Jet Industries鈥� most successful fundraiser.

In addition to networking and plenty of golf, the client appreciation event featured a display of Oregon Army National Guard vehicles as well as fatigue-clad soldiers from the Oregon Army National Guard.

The highlight of the day was the arrival of a Bell 214 ST helicopter carrying graduates from the Home of the Brave program, who were greeted and escorted to a reception by LTC Dominic Kotz and MAJ Abe Gilman from the Oregon Army National Guard.
