Four-story addition planned for Marriott hotel

A plan is in the works to expand a downtown hotel project by building atop a neighboring parking structure.
The Marriott City Center Hotel project team, including SERA Architects, next week will meet with representatives of the Portland Bureau of Development Services to review preliminary design plans for a four-floor addition.
Plans call for 127 guest rooms over the parking garage connected to the hotel at 520 S.W. Broadway.
The hotel is located in the Central Commercial zone and Central City Plan District.
