Ellen McClure, a fluvial geomorphologist with 17 years of experience restoring rivers and streams, has joined the Portland office of Biohabitats, an ecological restoration, conservation planning and regenerative design firm. She has led ecosystem restoration initiatives for Philadelphia; Washington, D.C.; and Montgomery County, Maryland. Locally, she has worked with Clean Water Services to transform former sewage lagoons into a 90-acre mosaic of riparian wetlands that provide natural wastewater treatment.
