Permits issued

• Ironworkers Local 29 was issued a permit to add a classroom, a break room and bathrooms to its weld shop at 11620 N.E. Ainsworth Circle in Portland’s Parkrose neighborhood. The classroom will mainly be used for welding classes, according to apprenticeship coordinator Jason Fussell. The permit is valued at $417,000. The contractor is Garco Construction.

• The building at 3975 S.E. Powell Blvd., built in 1961, will get a $1.5 million facade renovation and seismic upgrade. The contractor is Yorke & Curtis and the designer is Baysinger Partners. Other work includes adding space in the front and a demising wall and reworking the parking lot.

• Willsing LLC was issued a permit to perform a $615,000 tenant improvement at the Overland Warehouse Company building at 205 N.W. Fourth Ave. in Old Town Chinatown. The architect is Hacker and the contractor is Todd Hess Building Co.

• 940 S.E. Madison LLC was issued a $1 million permit to perform interior demolition and construct five new tenant spaces at 940 S.E. Madison St., the site of the Howliday Inn pet boarding facility. The designer and contractor is North Rim Partners.

• Clinton 50 Lofts LLC was issued a $9.5 million permit to build a four-story, 121-unit apartment building with basement parking at 2655 S.E. 50th Ave. in the Richmond neighborhood. The contractor is listed as Clinton 50 Lofts LLC.

Permit intakes

• Portland & Powell LLC is pursuing a $9.4 million permit to add three stories to an existing building at 3220 S.E. 19th Ave. The contractor is James A. Campbell Construction.

• Harlow Param Hotel Corp. is pursuing a $2.2 million permit to completely renovate the three-story hotel at the Harlow Block Building at 738 N.W. Glisan St. along the North Park Blocks. The building, originally constructed in 1882, is receiving a separate seismic upgrade. The architect is Chesshir Architecture and the contractor is Mega Pacific Co.
