The Bosco-Milligan Foundation announced the appointment of Stephanie Whitlock as the nonprofit’s new executive director. She succeeds founding director Cathy Galbraith, who retired earlier this year after 25 years with the organization.

Whitlock is an architectural historian with extensive experience in the nonprofit sector. She most recently worked for 15 years at the Graham Foundation for Advanced Studies in Fine Arts, a prominent international funder and public programming institution in the field of architecture.

Before that she was a lecturer at the University of Chicago, and also worked in academic publishing and communications in the nonprofit sector.

The Bosco-Milligan Foundation was founded in 1987 with a mission to preserve, protect and reuse historically and architecturally significant buildings in Portland. The foundation operates the Architectural Heritage Center, which is located in the historic West Blocks Building at 701 S.E. Grand Ave. in Portland.
