Early assistance is pending for a six-story, mixed-use building on a city-owned lot in the Gateway area near Northeast Halsey Street and 106th Avenue. Portland Parks & Recreation and the Portland Development Commission purchased the property in 2008; a three-acre community park is under construction on a portion of the site, and the mixed-use project is intended to be a complementary development. A pre-application conference is pending for a proposal to change the zoning of a vacant 15-acre riverfront parcel on the 8500 block of North Crawford Street from EG1 and EG2 to EXd.
