  • Early assistance is sought for development of a new three-story, 19-unit multifamily building at 5320 S.E. Woodstock Blvd. The applicant is Gene Bolante of Studio 3 Architecture, and the owners are Yen Thu Nguyen and Yen Nguyen.
  • Early assistance is pending for division of a property at 3929 S.E. 54th Ave. into two 25-foot lots, and development of attached condominium housing on the resulting north lot. The applicant is Victor Lopes of 3D Design Northwest, and the owner is Bellajour LLC.
  • A Type II design review is sought for development of a new six-story, 91,000-square-foot mixed-use building at 3185 N. Vancouver Ave. The proposed building would consist of 240 total group living units with shared kitchens on each floor, as well as three commercial spaces on the ground floor and 56 parking spaces. The applicants are Mike Coyle of Faster Permits and Daniel Lee of Seattle-based Jackson Main Architecture and the owner is Solterra Strata LLC.
  • A Type II design review is requested for development of a mixed-use office and retail building at 318 N.E. Couch St. The site, known as Block 76W, is located on the west side of the Couch Street couplet at the Burnside bridgehead. The proposal is for a building with five stories on one side of the site and four on the other, and no parking. Key Development had previously planned to build a 20,000-square-foot building, known as Sideyard, on the small parcel. The applicant is Jill Asselineau of Skylab Architecture, and the owner is Block 76 LLC, which is managed by Key Development.
  • A Type III design review is sought for a core and shell renovation of Singer Properties’ five-story office and retail building at 1017 S.W. Washington St. The 110-year-old art deco building was previously known as the Mekka Building and is now called Ten West. The scope of work includes seismic upgrades, addition of a sprinkler system throughout the building, modernization of an existing elevator and addition of a service elevator, and building systems upgrades. The exterior will receive storefront modifications at the existing lobby and a new lobby, window replacement, stucco and terracotta repairs, and a new rooftop amenity space. The applicants are Alan Jones and Kathy Johnson of Jones Architecture, and the owners are 23rd & Kearney St LLC, and Burnside & King LLC.
