A Type II design review is pending for a façade update to a long-vacant two-story building at 731 S.W. Morrison St. Planned improvements include removal of ground-level canopies and replacement of storefront windows with larger openings, relocation of entries, creation of an alternate retail entry, and additions of canopies at all entries. Existing granite cladding will remain but will be sandblasted and sealed to provide a matte finish. The applicant is Melissa Meiners of Koble Creative Architecture, and the owner is Morrison Park Partners LLC, which purchased the building for $3.35 million earlier this year.
