• Early assistance is pending for the proposed addition of a second story to an existing single-story wood-framed retail structure at 3275 N.E. Killingsworth St. The proposed exterior scope is for addition and replacement of the roof, envelope addition and re-cladding of the entire building envelope, replacement of windows and doors, and select replacement of parking lot paving. • Early assistance is pending for development of two five-story apartment buildings at 5415 S.E. Milwaukie Ave. One building would have 32 units, and the other 48 units and 31 surface parking spaces. The applicant is Ralph Tahran of Tahran Architecture & Planning, and the owner is Susan La Porte.

• Early assistance is sought for the renovation of approximately 60,000 square feet of warehouse/office space, surface parking and associated site elements at 1462 N.W. Naito Parkway. The applicant is Dave Otte of Holst Architecture, and the owner is Summit Properties Inc.

• Early assistance is requested for code information regarding the addition of a drive-thru, either via a new building or a new lane for an existing building, at 10010 S.W. Barbur Blvd. The applicant is Suzannah Stanley of Mackenzie, and the owner is 10010 Barbur LLC.

• Early assistance is sought for a new two-story-plus-basement building measuring approximately 63,500 square feet at 5826 N. Willamette Blvd. at the University of Portland. The building would contain offices, meeting rooms and classrooms. The applicant is Isaac Harris of Soderstrom Architects, and the owner is the University of Portland.

• A Type II design review is pending for improvements to the Umpqua Bank Plaza building at 1 S.W. Columbia St. Proposed changes include an update and enhancement of the main lobby entrance and removal of an existing exterior gazebo glass roof, creating an open-air element. The applicant is Mark Booth of ZGF Architects, and the owner is Umpqua Plaza Property LLC of Chicago.

• A Type II design review is pending for construction of three new carport structures measuring approximately 5,600 square feet and providing 45 spaces at 4330 S.W. Macadam Ave. The applicants are Laurie Simpson of Connect Architecture and Stuart Linquist, and the owner is Stuart Linquist.

• A Type II design review is pending for renovations to the Harrison Square building at 1800 S.W. First Ave. Proposed improvements include renovations to the western main entry, a new glazing wall system around the ground-floor lobby, and three new signs and updates to the signage at the west main entry and the southeastern corner of the site. The applicant is Suzannah Stanley of Mackenzie, and the owner is Harrison Square LLC.
