  • Early assistance is sought for a plan to vacate a section of Southeast Clinton Street between Sixth Avenue and Grand Avenue near a property at 2637 S.E. Sixth Ave. The applicant is Gino Ius of Northwest Truck Repair, and the owner is Double G LLC.
  • Early assistance is pending for redevelopment of a property at 1039 N.E. Stafford St. for self-storage. Currently, a single-family home occupies the 0.43-acre lot, which is zoned EG2. The applicant is Suzannah Stanley of Mackenzie, and the owners are Esther, Robert and Janet Myers.
  • Early assistance is requested for the renovation of a public swimming pool, including the tank and mechanical systems, at Peninsula Park Community Center. The applicant is Jill Hutchinson of the city of Portland, and the owner is Portland Parks & Recreation.
  • Early assistance is sought for expansion of a Dairy Queen building at 5605 S.E. Division St, and relocation of a drive-thru order/pickup window. The applicant is Mohanbir Grewal, and the owners are Mohanbir and Narinder Grewal.
  • Early assistance is pending for an addition to Gateway Baptist Church at 13300 N.E. San Rafael St. An addition of 2,862 square feet is proposed for the existing 6,814-square-foot main church building, as well as removal of three parking spaces. The applicant is Ray Yancey of Myhre Group Architects, and the owner is Gateway Baptist Church.
  • Early assistance is sought for site improvements and a new metal shop building at 8520 N. Kerby Ave. The applicant is Clark Tenney of 21st Century Towing, and the owners are D.F. and Joan Morgan.
  • Early assistance is requested for the demolition and redevelopment of the Pepsi distribution facilities at 2505 N.E. Pacific St. Existing buildings would be replaced with four or five mixed-use buildings, with potential uses including housing, senior housing, office, retail and parking. The applicant is Michael Nanney of Security Properties, and the owner is Bottling Group LLC of Dallas, Texas.
  • Early assistance is sought for modifications to an approved conditional use master plan for additions to a skilled nursing facility at 1475 S.E. 100th Ave. The applicant is Gretchen Stone of CB Two Architects, and the owner is Oregon Conference Education & Association.
  • Early assistance is pending for modification of a drainage system and removal of a dam at Mill Pond Park on Northwest Miller Road. The project would create a stream channel through the existing pond area and maximize floodplain storage through creation of riparian wetlands. The applicant is Jennifer Callaghan, a representative of the owner – Forest Heights Homeowners Association.
  • Early assistance is requested for improvements on the Northeast Seventh Avenue frontage of the Kaiser Permanente Building at 500 N.E.   • A pre-application conference is requested for a proposed 4,500-square-foot bar/lounge addition with a 5,000-square-foot outdoor deck on the roof of the 10-story building occupied by Hotel Monaco Portland at 506 S.W. Washington St. Also, aging rooftop HVAC equipment would be replaced. The applicant is Brian Morris of Scott | Edwards Architecture, and the owner is HPT IHG-2 Properties Trust.
  • A Type II adjustment procedure is sought for construction of a fast food pad building at 2626 S.E. 122nd Ave. Adjustments are sought to frontage limitations for on-site vehicle areas and maximum setback. The applicant is Jennifer Rinkus of Baysinger Partners Architecture, and the owner is Fairfield Clovis Properties LLC of San Francisco.
  • A Type II design review is requested for replacement of existing solarium (glass) enclosures located within 10 units of the Gallery Park apartment building at 1436 S.W. Park Ave. The applicant is Scott Mecalis of Myhre Group Architects, and the owner is 158th Baseline LLC; its members are listed as Portland Commissioner Dan Saltzman, his sisters Julie Leuvrey and Barbara Lovre, and his mother, Marjorie Saltzman, who died last year.
  • A Type II design review is sought for installation of three new coiling security doors at the entrance to the below-grade parking garage of the World Trade Center building at 25 S.W. Salmon St. The applicant is Jennifer Kimura of VLMK Engineering + Design, and the owner is IEH Portland LLC, whose sole member is Icahn Enterprises Holdings LP of New York.
