The Portland office of Fisher and Phillips will help employers dig into the details of the Oregon Equal Pay Act of 2017.

As part of the Oregon Equal Pay Act of 2017, a rule prohibiting employers from asking job candidates about salary histories went into effect earlier this month. Other changes in the state鈥檚 equal pay laws will take effect Jan. 1, 2019.

But before those changes take place, there鈥檚 work that employers can do in order to get a head start.

With an eye toward helping employers better understand the changes and begin figuring out how to go about complying with them, the Portland office of Fisher and Phillips will hold a breakfast briefing on Nov. 1, from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m., at the firm鈥檚 offices at 111 S.W. Fifth Ave., suite 4040, in Portland.
